The project has two priorities: strengthening Finnish companies’ participation in international networks and encouraging more businesses to work with space technology and data. That includes new startups and companies entering from related industries.
For founders, the opportunity extends beyond building satellites. Business Finland points to applications in communications, logistics, environmental monitoring, and security, alongside Finland’s capabilities in sensors, software, and data services.
Support for commercialisation and international growth
The project brings companies together with researchers, investors, public organisations, and international partners. Its services include targeted workshops, commercialisation coaching, networking, and information on markets and funding opportunities.
It also aims to help Finnish companies participate more actively in European and international cooperation, including European Space Agency projects and programmes.
The project’s services are free. Any Business Finland funding remains subject to its customer criteria and a separate funding decision.
How to get involved
Companies and organisations can express interest through Business Finland’s project page. Business Finland then contacts applicants to discuss their objectives, suitable services, and participation.
For founders developing space technology or finding new uses for satellite data, the project offers a practical starting point for exploring partners and commercial opportunities in Finland.
